I offer all the garden maintenance services you would normally expect from weeding to garden clearance through to more specialist services to help further develop your garden.
Development and planning
I have a keen interest in helping to move gardens forward. I can produce maintenance plans as well as a schedule of seasonal tasks that I think need to be put into place in your garden.
I can help develop areas of your garden that might not be working for you - this can be by replacing planting or moving plants from other areas.
Topiary
I have spent many years working in gardens with topiary of all kinds, from Box hedging to Yew and more. I am experienced in dealing with Box Blight as well as Box Caterpillar and can help with management and prevention.
I have a list of alternative planting that I use for topiary and am happy to implement any of these. Topiary adds so much to the garden in the form of structure and interest, but many clients have been put off by the ravages of the Box Caterpillar. I am happy to help if this is a problem for you.
Pruning
I have many years of experience pruning and I enjoy the process of keeping plants in the best shape as well as getting the best out them whether it is flowers or fruit or a particular feature.
I can keep your climbers (including wisteria, clematis, roses and more) in great shape as well as fruit trees, soft fruit, shrubs, and perennials.
Wildflower meadows
I have a keen interest in making and maintaining wildflower meadows and areas, whether swathes throughout a garden or larger areas.
Wildflowers and grasses are very particular about the site they grow on and I can lend an experienced hand in advising on the types of seed and the ways of achieving a more interesting garden. Wildflowers and grass also cut down on the amount of mowing required and save money in maintenance in the longer term. Benefits also include the increase in wild life – insects, butterflies and birds.
Planting
As part of my services, I can offer planting schemes as well as supply and planting to your specification, or I can make suggestions to make the most of your borders, or if you need screening plants or you are planting a new garden.
I am also happy for you to provide your own plants and I will place and plant them, this includes trees, shrubs, climbers and perennials.
Wildlife gardens
With the environmental changes happening in our world, it is important to do anything however small to mitigate against the loss of habitat for invertebrates, mammals, and birds.
I have many years of experience in creating wildlife areas in gardens, without too much compromise. Often the image of wildlife gardens is that of messy piles of logs and so on, however it does not have to be like that. Encouraging birds and insects will help your garden to thrive, and will mean pollination, giving somewhere for bees to forage, and many other advantages.

I have over ten years of gardening experience and am qualified to RHS 2 level in Principles of Garden Planning and RHS 3 level Principles of Garden Planning, Construction and Planting.
I have worked in many gardens of all sizes and have specialised in larger gardens and estates. With a good knowledge of plants and an enthusiasm and love for what I do, I can offer an experienced hand in the management of your garden.
Over the years been involved in the creation of many beautiful gardens and landscapes including conservation of a Victorian cemetery, meadows, and community vegetable gardens. I am just as happy weeding a border as I am making larger planted areas.
